We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Project Manager – Major Projects to join our team
What You Will Do:
Working in consultation with the Principal Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of Council's Major Projects. You will contribute to project management activities, stakeholder engagement, cost planning, scheduling and reporting, ensuring the seamless integration of technical, contractual and operational elements.
This position offers an opportunity to further develop your professional project management capability while contributing to a high-profile regional infrastructure project. Appointment at Level 5 or Level 6 will depend on your demonstrated skills, experience and ability to operate independently.
What We Are Looking For:
* Relevant experience and/or qualifications in Project Management or related fields; or
* Working towards a relevant course of study; relevant experience in scheduling and contracts management.
* Current Drivers Licence with the ability to independently drive between business locations to meet operational requirements.
* Comprehensive ability to manage multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve project & corporate objectives.
* Demonstrated construction contract management experience.
* Well-developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write detailed technical reports.
* Demonstrated Information Technology, verbal, written communication and negotiation skills that establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, customers and stakeholders.
