About the Opportunity
ASC is seeking a dedicated Risk Management Specialist to support and strengthen enterprise risk management across ASC and its subsidiaries. In this dynamic role, you will help minimise threats and maximise opportunities by facilitating risk workshops, supporting policy and framework reviews, and managing risk systems and treatment activities. You'll collaborate closely with key functions including insurance, compliance, sustainability, business continuity, and internal audit to implement effective risk controls and assurance measures. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in building organisational capability by leading the ASC Risk Academy and mentoring staff on best practices within the ASC Risk Framework.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate enterprise risk management activities including workshops, reviews, and treatment planning
* Support the development and implementation of ASC's Risk Management Framework and associated policies
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across compliance, sustainability, insurance, and audit functions
* Lead the ASC Risk Academy and mentor staff on risk best practices and frameworks
* Support development of risk metrics and performance indicators
* Maintain and enhance risk systems, tools, and reporting dashboards
* Provide clear, decision-useful risk insights to senior leaders and executives
About you
* Tertiary qualifications inCommerce, Business Administration, or Engineering
* Certified inRisk Management, with5+ years of enterprise risk experience
* Experience working within theDefence Industry
* Eligible to obtain anAustralian Defence Security Clearance (NV1)
* Skilled inrisk management, compliance, and business continuity
* Highly developedanalytical and problem-solving abilities
* Proactive and detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
