We’re on the lookout for an organised and passionate HR Assistant / Coordinator to support the heart of our growing wine business — our people! This role is ideal for someone who thrives on variety, takes pride in precision, and wants to make an impact across recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and employee experience. 
What You’ll Be Doing 
- Support the People & Culture function across the full employee lifecycle. 
- Assist HR Manager with all people and culture initiatives. 
- Champion onboarding experiences that set every new hire up for success from day one. 
- Lead recruitment for vineyard and retail teams (including vintage recruitment each year). 
- Be the first point of contact for HR-related queries across the business. 
- Prepare contracts, reference checks, staff announcements, and related HR admin activities. 
- Assist leaders on career development, coordinate training programs, and support growth from probation to promotion. 
- Support recognition programs, employee check-ins, and staff surveys. 
- Craft engaging people communications, support employer brand, and build resources for the intranet. 
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and identify automation opportunities to improve processes. 
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement events. 
- Support workers’ compensation and return-to-work cases. 
- Help drive compliance and best-practice HR documentation and updates. 
What We’re Looking For 
- 1–2+ years of HR admin or coordination experience. 
- Strong organisation and follow-through, with a proactive approach to tasks. 
- Friendly, professional communication style. 
- Cultural intelligence and stakeholder management skills. 
- Familiarity with employment contracts, award interpretation, and HR systems is a bonus. 
- Attention to detail with a people-focused mindset. 
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership. 
- Experience working across diverse cultures and locations is preferred. 
- A proactive go-getter.
