*Brief Description
The role*
As a Digital Designer, you will conceptualise and design engaging digital assets that deliver clear marketing messages and support key campaign objectives. You will work across the Budget Direct brand and occasionally assist with our smaller brands.
You will create digital assets for responsive websites and landing pages, interactive content, HTML5 banners, social media, video, and outdoor screens. You will also contribute to our design system and brand guidelines while supporting our Design Lead with project workflow.
This role is hands-on and ideal for someone who enjoys both graphic and video design.
*What You'll Do:*
* Design digital assets across websites, landing pages, social media, display ads, and campaign activity.
* Create static and motion HTML5 banners to support major marketing campaigns.
* Edit and repurpose video assets including overlays, supers, motion graphics, YouTube bumpers, and outdoor formats.
* Produce assets for Australian media channels such as JCDecaux, Val Morgan and Westfield.
* Work closely with Marketing Managers and internal stakeholders to deliver on campaign requirements.
* Contribute to our brand style guide and Universal Design System.
* Support brainstorming sessions and offer creative solutions to marketing challenges.
* Stay up to date with design, UX, and content trends to help evolve our design approach.
*What Experience You'll Bring*
* Minimum 3 years experience in a digital design role.
* Tertiary qualification in design, digital media, or a related field.
* A strong portfolio showcasing digital, motion, and video work.
* Expertise in Google Web Designer, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
* Understanding of UI and UX best practice across devices.
* Experience designing responsive, mobile-first web experiences.
* Ability to lead design projects through to developer handover.
* Skills in motion graphics, animation, and video editing.
* Experience producing assets for Australian media channels such as JCDecaux, Val Morgan, or Westfield is desirable.
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy campaign environment.
* Experience working in an Agile team is an advantage.

The role
As a Digital Designer you will help drive the creative delivery for one of Australia's most recognisable brands - Budget Direct.
What You'll Do:
* Conceptualise and design engaging digital assets across banners, websites, landing pages, and social media
* Create both static and motion HTML5 banners to support campaign performance
* Contribute to the brand style guide and work with the team to keep our style guide up to date
* Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to bring marketing ideas to life
* Stay ahead of digital, content marketing and UX trends—sharing insights with the wider team
* Contribute to campaign brainstorming and problem-solving through design and video
What Experience You'll Bring
* Minimum 3 years' experience working in a digital design and video editing role.
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
* A portfolio or examples of previous work.
* Expert in Figma, Google Web Designer and Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Premiere Pro & Adobe Media Encoder.
* Experienced in executing UI and UX best practice across a variety of platforms and devices.
* An understanding of mobile first and responsive web design is a must.
* Experience in curating, editing, and exporting video assets for major Australian digital media channels such as JCDecaux, Val Morgan and Westfield, is desirable.
* Ability to work on digital projects from design to development with knowledge of developer handover applications.
* Ability to handle and prioritise multiple design tasks at once and meet deadlines.
* Skills in motion graphics and animation are essential.
* Working knowledge of HTML and CSS. Other web design coding languages such as Javascript is desirable.
* Experience working in an Agile team environment is desirable
