Senior Mental Health Clinician Role
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) (RFDS) is seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to support the wellbeing of communities across central and outback Queensland.
About the Role
* Fly-in, fly-out arrangement from Brisbane with all travel and accommodation costs covered by RFDS.
* Permanent, full-time position on a roster of 12 days on and 9 days off.
About the Team
The Central West and Outback Mental Health Team is dedicated to delivering quality mental health services to rural and remote areas of Outback Queensland. The team offers flexible, professional mental health services tailored to meet the unique needs of people living in these regions.
Your Responsibilities
* Conducting assessments and formulating treatment plans.
* Providing therapy and counselling services.
* Facilitating referrals to other healthcare providers when necessary.
Requirements
* Registration with AHPRA or membership with the AASW.
* Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work (accredited with AASW), Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing (eligible for Mental Health credentialing).
* 3+ years of post-graduate experience.
* Demonstrated experience in brief interventions and therapeutic counselling with patients of all ages.
* Respectful understanding and experience working with cultural diversity.
* A Working with Children Blue Card (for Social Workers only).
