Your role

You'll be part of our IT team based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Your deep technical knowledge will be relied on as a leader within the team, ensuring best practices are followed and solutions are aligned with our business goals.
You will have an opportunity to get involved with priority projects, supporting delivery across multiple streams of work.
As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you'll shape the firm's technology direction and contribute to architecture, coding, and mentoring others.

Apply a product delivery mindset, owning the full lifecycle of technical products from inception to continuous improvement.
Strategic Leadership & Architecture
Drive the firm's long-term technical vision and platform strategy, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving business needs.
Lead architectural decisions across enterprise platforms, including Azure, SharePoint, iManage, Workday and Boomi, designing cloud-native, API-first solutions that support integration, interoperability, and future growth.
Innovation & Emerging Technology
Drive adoption of technologies like AI and automation to enhance delivery efficiency and unlock new opportunities for business innovation and value creation.
Explore emerging tech (e.g., generative AI) to accelerate delivery speed and enable faster, more impactful outcomes for the business.
Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, scalable software solutions.
Maintain and enhance production-grade codebases with a focus on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement informed by real-world metrics.
Operational Leadership & Team Enablement
Oversee sprint planning and execution across multiple workstreams, ensuring continuity of delivery and proactive management of technical debt, refactoring, and upgrades.
Lead and mentor a small team of developers, fostering autonomy, sharing knowledge, and maintaining high technical standards through hands-on collaboration and clear documentation.
Skills & Experience
10+ years in software development with proficiency in .
NET and .
NET Core, C#, PowerShell, JavaScript, and SQL.
Expertise in secure-by-design coding practices, software architecture, solution design, and engineering best practices.
Strong understanding of SDLC principles, agile methodologies, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
Proficiency in RESTful API development, OAuth flows, and cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
Extensive experience integrating systems across hybrid environments, including Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and on-premises enterprise platforms.
Beneficial (but not necessary) experience
Knowledge of Elastic Search
Knowledge of data platforms, like Fabric or DataBricks
