As ANZ EHS Specialist, you will report to the ANZ EHS Manager and drive consistent and continuous improvement in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) practices and standards. This includes establishing and implementing standardized processes and practices related to the PPG EHS Management System to enhance the ANZ region EHS performance.

Location: Tullamarine, Victoria, Australia.


Key Responsibilities


Aerospace Support Centre (ASC) Australia

* Daily support to the site EHS Leadership team of ASC Australia at Tullamarine and all employees, implementing PPG EHSMS to comply with local regulatory and company requirements.
* Support the Tullamarine site in completing regular gap assessments, highlighting actual or potential non‑compliances, and follow up corrective and preventive action plans.
* Support the implementation of the site's EHS policies, procedures and risk management strategies, liaising with Senior Leadership Team and various stakeholders.
* Support the development of annual EHS work plans and KPIs.
* Assist with the facilitation of the EHS leadership team meeting at the site.
* Facilitate and support root cause incident investigations at the site as required.
* Facilitate and support risk assessments at the site as required.


ANZ EHS Program Implementation at Clayton, Auckland and Tullamarine sites

* Assist the ANZ Regional EHS Leader in implementing regional EHS programs across all manufacturing plants at Clayton, Auckland and Tullamarine to improve EHS infrastructure, EHSMS maturity and safety culture.
* Program examples include:
o Standardization of EHS processes and practices onsite, e.g., Global Wastes Stewardship Program; Spill Elimination and Walk the Line; Environmental Compliance Management on Wastes, Water, Air and Noise.
o EHS training matrix and training plan implementation.
o EHS IT Database and EHS Incident Reporting, Investigation and Follow‑up.
o EHS Performance Reporting/Tracking/Communication.


ANZ Commercial EHS Support

* Assist the ANZ Regional Commercial Teams EHS Manager in implementing regional EHS programs across all SBUs Commercial Teams of ANZ.
* Implement PPG EHSMS to comply with local regulatory and company requirements toward an injury‑free workplace, including EHSMS related procedures and training matrix.
* Actively participate in developing annual EHS work plans and KPIs for various commercial activities in the ANZ region (stores, training centers, technical sales and service representatives), working with associated leadership teams.
* Review EHS work plans and KPI progress with commercial leadership teams; assist with preparing EHS performance reports for commercial EHS leadership team meetings.


General

* Role is based at ASC Tullamarine site but may require travel to manufacturing and commercial locations within the ANZ region as arranged by the ANZ Regional EHS Leader.
* Cover primary duties of other EHS staff during their absence as reasonably practicable.


Qualifications

* Tertiary qualification in OHS, Engineering or Science.
* 2–3 years of relevant experience after graduation.
* Experience in a Manufacturing Industry is an advantage.
* Demonstrated ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
* Practical industry experience in EHS disciplines is required.
* Strong influencing and effective communication skills for interacting with senior management, shop floor personnel, regulatory agencies, external contractors and emergency services.
* Knowledge of relevant Acts, including OHS Act, Environment Protection Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
* Excellent organizational skill, time management and result‑driven attitude.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office suite.
* Demonstrated ability to lead multiple multidisciplinary teams.
