OverviewGroup Financial Accountant – BOQ Group.
Reporting into the Group's financial control team, the role undertakes accounting tasks including preparing and processing journals, ongoing management of account reconciliations, analysing and reporting financial information, and providing technical and administrative support to the finance team.ResponsibilitiesEnsure allocated month-end tasks, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting activities are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.Collaborate with other Group Financial Accountants and assist Group Finance Managers in ensuring the Bank meets its management and statutory reporting deadlines.Contribute towards the consolidation and standardisation of financial control activities to drive efficiency and enhanced controls, providing a platform to transition to the target future state in line with the broader Finance Transformation agenda.QualificationsBachelor of Bus/Comm (Accounting); CPA / CA/ICAA qualified (or international equivalent)ExperienceMultiple years accounting experience ideally within a financial control functionExposure to banking financial ledgers and statementsProven technical accounting skills and interpretation of recent accounting standardsKnowledge & CompetenciesAbility to work directly with other Financial Accounting staffConsistent ability to meet deadlines with limited supervisionAbout UsBOQ Group is a truly unique group of challenger brands with a purpose – to provide a genuine alternative to Australian financial services for customers and employees.
