SENIOR ARCHITECT
Role Overview:
Habitat Development Group are seeking an experienced Architect who will play a pivotal role within the development team, based in Brisbane. Bringing your design experience, you will be involved with landmark projects on the Sunshine Coast for one of the largest Developer Builders in Queensland that is experiencing growth in the multi residential market. This is a very exciting role which that will help support the growth of the design function in the business. You will be involved with preparing crucial documentation for upfront yield studies, DA design, implementing construction efficiencies into the design process and ongoing involvement in all projects at various stages in the development process. Reporting to the Design Manager and working closely with other senior members of the business including the Managing Director, General Manager of Development and Design and Sales Director on various projects at different stages.
Key Responsibilities:
* Use your construction knowledge to produce documentation to a high standard when required.
* Partnering with and coordinating consultants.
* Implement and validate the Habitat Design Specification across all projects.
* Researching, understanding and complying with relevant building codes and standards including safety in design principles.
* Ability to follow established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with organisational standards and operating procedures.
* Identify areas for improvement, offer suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity and implement ideas that achieve operational excellence.
* Keeps abreast of current changes in technology, processes, and standards.
* Organize and manage stakeholder meetings, including agendas, minutes, and reporting.
* Prepare project documentation and reports for different stages of development in conjunction with the Project Manager.
* Identify and address potential project risks and challenges.
* Progress Council Approvals and other statutory authorities.
* Assist with project handovers.
Candidate Requirements:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a proven track record in property or construction. The ideal candidate should possess:
* A relevant Degree in Architecture and hold a registration with the Architecture Board.
* At least 5 years experience as an Architect or similar with residential built form project experience.
* Strong Proficiency in Archicad.
* Strong communication, time management, decision-making, and analytical skills.
* A collaborative attitude, strong ethics, and reliability in achieving deadlines.
