Where You'll Be Working
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Services Department within the Cardiothoracic team at John Hunter Hospital. John Hunter Hospital is the largest hospital in the district and services Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Port Stephens. As a Level 6 tertiary referral, major trauma and teaching hospital, JHH provides care to a population of more than 800,000 people. The Cardiothoracic Department is a dynamic and busy service working closely with nurses, doctors, allied health and administration staff. This position is Temporary Full Time, working Monday to Friday.
About The Role
As an Administration Officer Level 3 within the Cardiothoracic Department, you will:
Provide administrative support to the Surgical Services Cardiothoracic Consultants and team to assist with patient care and service deliveryType clinical correspondence and reports, including medical typingProvide secretarial support for meetingsAnswer phone enquiries and assist with general administrative tasksDeliver professional and efficient customer service to patients and stakeholders
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a self-driven approach to administrative support and a passion for delivering services that make a positive difference to the community.
