About this role:
The Family Therapist provides family therapy utilising the FFT-CW model to client families where a child/ren are referred to the program by DCJ because of the child protection risk to the family and the imminent likelihood of an OOHC placement for the child/ren.
Our objective is to hold and reduce risk in the family home. This is a paramount priority for the person responsible for this role.
This is a fixed term full time contract for 5 months, based in Nowra within our Children, Youth and Families Program. The position reports to the Family Therapist Supervisor.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* A Bachelor qualification in Social Work or Psychology, Aboriginal Health Worker or Community Welfare Worker or Master of Counselling is required.
* Post Graduate training in relevant child, adolescent and family clinical practice, family therapy and systemic thinking is strongly preferred.
* Clinical experience working with families/adolescents is strongly preferred.

* Valid and current Driver's Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check;
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
