The role of Supervisor, Spaceport Hospitalitywill be to support the direction and management of the organization's food/beverage operations and customer service activities. You will help develop and implement effective customer service strategies and training programs. The duties of Supervisor, Spaceport Hospitality will include but are not limited to; coordinating service operations, monitoring and motivating staff, ensuring excellent customer service, engaging with customers, hiring and developing talent, ensuring team is current with all mandatory company trainings, scheduling and payroll, interviewing, hiring and onboarding of new staff, setting and upholding customer service principles. Supervisor, Spaceport Hospitalitywill support the mission by providing a foundation of understanding for excellent customer service and quality food/beverage options that boost morale and productivity within SpaceX.RESPONSIBILITIES:Set and enforces standards for hospitality operationsOrganize, coordinate and assist with catering/event requestsManage and monitor product quality, consistency and service, and address issues accordinglyMaintain clean and safe work stations throughout operationOversee menu accuracy in multiple service formats and locationsTrain staff on customer service, allergen and nutritional awarenessEnforce proper food safety practices with staffCoordinate and enhance time management for teamBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate5+ years of leadership experience within the food service industryPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:2+ years of restaurant general manager experienceExperience opening new operations and/or creating operational procedures from the ground upExperience in bartendingExperience in fine dining, casual and quick service restaurantsAdvanced knowledge of customer service and safe kitchen operationsAdvanced knowledge of beverage services including beer, wine, spiritsExperienced with Microsoft office and outlookExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAdvanced knowledge of food profession principles and practicesCustomer service or guest interaction experienceExcellent knowledge of food service systems, ordering and inventoryExperience in corporate environmentProficient knowledge of human resources managementAbility to organize work for large groups in various service formatsAbility to work gracefully under pressureAdaptability, problem-solving skills, and extreme attention to detailTeam player with the ability to collaborate effectivelyStrong time management skillsExperience leading groups in large team settings of 10 or more staff membersADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted (up to 25lbs)Able to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objectsAbility to stand for long periods of time - up to 10 hours a dayMust be able to work all shifts and available for extended hours, weekends and holiday as neededMust participate in internal leadership and development trainingValid Texas Food Handler and TABC Certification or willingness to obtain them before employmentMust have or be able to obtain manager level food safety certificationITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
