ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst – Planning & Scheduling to support our Planning team in balancing poultry demand and supply in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
This role is well-suited to a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a long-term career in supply chain, planning and analytics. You will work closely with senior planners, production, sales and logistics teams to help create accurate daily and weekly production plans and ensure customer orders are delivered in full and on time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning & Scheduling Support
* Assist in preparing daily and weekly production and scheduling plans aligned to the Master Production Schedule (MPS), customer orders, poultry availability and plant capacity
* Update and maintain planning spreadsheets and systems with accurate demand, production, inventory and yield data
* Support the translation of demand forecasts into supply and production plans across primary and secondary processing
* Monitor alignment between forecast, production, inventory and customer requirements, escalating potential gaps early
Data Analysis & Reporting
* Work with large data sets from planning tools, ERP systems, production reports and sales data
* Build and maintain Excel reports, pivot tables and basic charts to support planning decisions
* Track and report key metrics such as forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory, waste and schedule adherence
* Identify trends, variances and risks and highlight these to senior planners
Supply Chain Coordination
* Work closely with production, farming/live bird supply, sales, logistics, warehousing and procurement teams
* Support daily and weekly planning meetings through data preparation, tracker updates and action summaries
* Assist with scenario analysis (e.g. demand changes, bird shortages, downtime) and document recommended responses
Continuous Improvement
* Document SOPs, work instructions and planning templates
* Contribute ideas to improve planning processes, tools and reporting
* Support small improvement projects across demand planning, scheduling and inventory management
Food Safety & Safety
* Comply with all Hazeldenes policies related to food safety, quality, HACCP, animal welfare and WHS
* Follow safe systems of work and PPE requirements
* Report hazards, near misses and non-conformances immediately
ABOUT YOU
You are a data-driven, motivated professional who enjoys working with numbers, learning new systems, and supporting a busy supply chain team. Industry experience is not essential — attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn are key.
What You Bring
Technical & Analytical Skills
* Strong analytical mindset with confidence working with large data sets
* Solid Excel capability including formulas, filters, pivot tables and basic charts
* Exposure to Power Query, Power Pivot and/or Power BI (ability to analyse data and tell a story)
* Basic understanding of supply chain concepts such as demand, supply, production, scheduling and inventory
* Ability to quickly learn planning processes and follow structured workflows
