About The Role
Are you passionate about accuracy, service, and making a difference? Our Payroll Team plays a vital role in delivering accurate and reliable payroll and human resource services to the employees and councillors of Townsville City Council who keep our city moving.
We process payroll weekly, governed by strict timeframes and deadlines, so attention to detail and efficiency are essential. In this role, you'll be at the heart of operations, communicating daily with a diverse and dynamic workforce, providing clear and accurate information and offering trusted advice and support.
Confidentiality is key, and your professionalism will help us maintain the highest standards. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration, continuous improvement and contributing to the success of our organisation.
About You
Our ideal applicant will have:
Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or equivalent competency.
Advanced knowledge of payroll systems, ideally CHRIS21, and/or UKG Ready, plus related administrative business systems.
Strong, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across a varied workforce.
