Rail Operations Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Rail Operations Assistant to join our team at the Grafton Rail Depot. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting daily rail operations and contributing to maintaining high food safety and operational standards.
The successful candidate will have experience with rail operations or similar industrial environments, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, and basic computer skills (including Pronto and Microsoft Office). They will also be able to work safely in physically demanding conditions and be familiar with manual handling and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive bulk sugar from the Harwood Refinery
* Inspect and load rail wagons
* Conduct cleaning and washdowns of silos and rail wagons
* Monitor and operate bulk storage systems (conveyors, silos, bins)
* Undertake regular cleaning of the terminal to ensure Food Safety Standards are maintained
* Participate in continuous improvement programs
* Comply with all rail operations and safety systems
