We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our commercial construction company.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day office and administrative operations, managing accounts payable/receivable and supplier/project reconciliations, preparing and lodging BAS/IAS, assisting with job costing, progress claims, purchase orders, and project financial tracking, managing subcontractor onboarding, compliance, insurances (WHS, public liability, workers comp), coordinating documentation for tenders, project start-ups, and site requirements, liaising with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers, and maintaining organised office systems and supporting management with reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the smooth and efficient running of the office
* Manage accounts payable/receivable and supplier/project reconciliations
* Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS
* Assist with job costing, progress claims, purchase orders, and project financial tracking
* Manage subcontractor onboarding, compliance, insurances (WHS, public liability, workers comp)
* Coordinate documentation for tenders, project start-ups, and site requirements
* Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers
* Maintain organised office systems and support management with reporting
Requirements
We are looking for someone who brings:
* Experience in commercial construction or a comparable project-based environment
* Strong bookkeeping knowledge and proven BAS preparation/lodgment experience
* Confidence using accounting software
* Exceptional time management and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work with site teams and external stakeholders
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work autonomously
* High attention to detail and accuracy in all financial tasks
