Junction Support Services is seeking experienced teachers to join our
Education Support for Children in Care (ESCC)
Program - where education meets purpose.
This is
not
a teacher aide, early childhood education or classroom support role -
current VIT (or equivalent) registration is essential.
In this unique position, you'll work one-on-one with children and young people living in out-of-home care, developing and delivering tailored learning plans that align with their interests, strengths, and goals. It's a flexible, rewarding way to use your teaching expertise to create lasting impact.

What You'll Do:
* Spend one day each week* in our Morwell office, connecting with a passionate and supportive team
* Use the rest of your work time to engage directly with students or complete planning and programming — all within paid hours
* Deliver one-on-one, personalised education plans tailored to each student's interests, goals, and learning needs
* Collaborate with carers, case workers, and other professionals to build a strong, wraparound support network
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans
* Create a safe, positive learning environment that supports each student's educational and emotional growth
What We're Looking For (key selection criteria):
1. A relevant tertiary qualification; Bachelor of Education with current Victorian Teaching Registration.
2. Demonstrated understanding of the developmental needs of children and young people, as well as knowledge of the educational barriers experienced by children and young people residing in Care Services (Kinship Care, Foster Care, Residential Care, Lead Tenant).
3. Proven experience teaching children and young people with the ability to adapt evidence informed teaching methods to meet individualised learning styles.
4. A genuine passion for working with students of all ages, strong communication skills, and the ability to motivate and engage students.
