**WHY YOU WANT THIS ROLE**
Our client is a communication systems provider, servicing a broad range of major sectors. Recently acquired by an international player (with a Perth head office) and located in Newcastle industrial area, this is your chance to work in the kind of supportive team environment you expect in a small company, but with the excellent growth prospects of a large company in the always-evolving technology sector.
**WHAT ARE YOU IN FOR?**
Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will be meeting and greeting anyone who comes into the showroom. This could be the likes of grey nomads passing through, or blokes from the city council who need some kind of specific, high-tech radio equipment to get them going again. Don't stress, you have the help of a very friendly, helpful tech guy who knows EVERYTHING there is to know about communications, quite literally, everything so you're in good hands. You will hear 'can you fix this?' on the daily, but you will also hear 'let me help you with that' just as often from the team around you.
The role is roughly split 50/50. Half being accounts focussed; receivable/payable, creating purchase orders, reporting on and managing accounts that sort of thing. And the other half being sales admin like; organising deliveries, liaising with the other branches, techs and operations managers to make sure every customer gets what they require in a timely fashion.
**THE NITTY GRITTY**
Getting along with people is also a must, you will the point of contact as soon as they walk in as well as on the phone so friendliness is key. A few other things that will excite us:
- Good engagement (use your brain like a sponge and soak up all the interactions, and the tech talk!) 
- The ability to be respectfully assertive. Eg. If you have a customer who requires a part by tomorrow afternoon you would sound a little something like this "help me understand how we get this done tomorrow afternoon for my very important customer" 
- Sky high attention to detail and killer organisational skills 
- Previous administration experience and accounts or sales
