As Program Manager, you’ll coordinate and deliver key initiatives across the National TAFE Network (NTN), ensuring alignment with national skills priorities, TAFE Centres of Excellence objectives, and Canberra Institute of Technology’s (CIT) Strategic Plan.

- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities, with experience fostering partnerships that drive innovation and quality outcomes.
- Confidence in data-driven decision-making, with the ability to interpret performance insights and report to senior stakeholders.
- A passion for education design, innovation, and continuous improvement, particularly in emerging models like higher apprenticeships and micro-credentials.
In this influential role, you will:
- Lead the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of national initiatives that strengthen collaboration and excellence across the TAFE sector.
- Coordinate program governance and risk management, ensuring delivery aligns with national skills strategies and CIT’s long-term goals.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships across TAFEs, industry, and government, representing CIT and the NTN in key national forums.
- Use data and forecasting tools to monitor performance, track progress, and inform evidence-based decision-making.
- Drive innovation in education design, supporting initiatives that enhance curriculum alignment, digital learning, and workforce readiness.
- Deliver high-quality stakeholder engagement and operational support, including events, communications, and documentation management.

Desirable:
- Experience in vocational education and training or a related industry sector will be well regarded.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately up until 30 June 2028 with the possibility of permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Temporary employment offered as a result of this advertisement may lead to permanency/promotion as per the Public Sector Management Standards, Section 14 – Direct appointment of employee – general, and Section 20 – Direct promotion - general and CIT Enterprise Agreements.
