Overview
Our valued State Government client is seeking a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to provide technical direction, implementation, and support for enterprise IT infrastructure. You will ensure high-quality ICT services across multiple agencies, supporting both desktop and cloud environments while promoting secure, efficient, and up-to-date IT practices.
What you’ll do
- Install, configure, maintain, and optimise cloud-based Microsoft environments, MECM, InTune, and AutoPilot.
- Manage software distribution, patching, image deployment, and asset inventory.
- Provide 2nd level support, analysing IT and security issues and delivering robust solutions.
- Apply technical and procedural information security controls across desktop and server infrastructure.
- Implement ITIL best practices for change, incident, capacity, risk, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Mentor 1st level support staff, ensuring compliance with systems and service standards.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supporting customer-focused service delivery.
- Promote workplace diversity and contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
What we’re looking for
- Proven expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, MECM, InTune, AutoPilot, Windows 11, and Server 2019+.
- Strong Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint management skills.
- Experience with ITIL Service Management (incident, problem, change, configuration, test).
- 2nd level technical support and analysis skills (SFIA TECH Level 5).
- PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Endpoint Manager experience desirable.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications and tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
- Ability to embrace change, prioritise tasks, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
