Science Teacher Position
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Science Teacher to join our Secondary School team. As a collaborative member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.
About Our School
We are a co-educational school catering to students from preschool to Year 12. We believe that parents hold the primary responsibility for nurturing their children's spiritual growth, and we partner with them to equip our students with a Christ-centred education.
The Role
This part-time Science Teacher position will have a Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) of 0.8 and commence on January 2025 or by negotiation. We welcome new graduates who are eager to take on this exciting opportunity.
Main Responsibilities
* To provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students in Years 7 to 12.
* To collaborate closely with the KLA Coordinator and Wellbeing Coordinators to create an enriching learning environment.
* To ensure the wellbeing and discipline of our students while prioritizing child safety.
* To participate in curriculum development and reporting.
Requirements
* A valid Working With Children Check.
* An enthusiasm for engaging students in meaningful learning experiences.
* A passion for Christian Education.
* Confidence in using technology in the classroom.
* Experience in teaching Stages 4-6 Science and Stage 6 Physics and/or Chemistry.
* Integrated understanding of the interaction between faith and the teaching of Science.
