Firefighter Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our firefighting team as an auxiliary firefighter. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about community safety and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond to fire and emergency incidents as part of a team, using sound judgment and quick decision-making skills to ensure the safety of people and property.
* Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education and outreach activities, working closely with local communities to identify and address their needs.
* Maintain and develop competencies through regular drills and training sessions, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies to ensure effectiveness on the fire ground.
Requirements
* Australian permanent resident status.
Expectations
* Attend incident and emergency calls – 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours, or 30% of calls as a shift worker or with non-routine hours.
* Attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions.
* Obtain an MRV licence, at your own expense, within 12 months of employment.
