Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with a track record in delivering projects involving water and/or wastewater treatment.
Bringing an appetite for building and maintaining strong client relationships and a passion for contributing to a high‑performing team, you will utilise your expertise to deliver complex and ambitious water and wastewater treatment projects for our clients in our Northern NSW region and nationally.
Key Responsibilities Deliver various and significant NSW, Australian and international water and wastewater treatment projects, by understanding clients' needs.
Use your technical, project management and client relationship skills for the delivery and technical guidance of proposals, investigations and technical design projects.
Understand client and project technical requirements, assist to develop solutions, and prepare technical reports, designs & specifications, client proposals and presentations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, including business development and engagement throughout project delivery.
What you will bring to the team Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, coupled between 8 and 12 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment process engineering, concept design and detailed design.
The ability to lead and/or work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary team across the project lifecycle.
Strong client relationship skills, project management skills, and experience in preparing winning proposals.
Design or planning skills in water or wastewater treatment, including process design, producing technical reports, developing engineering drawings, specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructure.
Experience with using process design software, with experience in plant hydraulics highly desirable.
Project management or design management experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staff.
Additional Information
We value wellness and flexibility; the role can be part‑time or full‑time, and you can be based in Newcastle or any of our other Northern NSW offices (Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tuggerah, Tamworth, Orange or Lismore).
