We are looking for Teacher Aides who can work within our Primary school to assist teachers and students in reaching their educational goals. This is a casual position during term time only.
This position is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children. You will work with students in both a class setting and small group environments with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.
As a Teacher Aide you are part of a professional team of educators that have a passion for teaching young people. You have excellent communication skills, are team-orientated, show a willingness to embrace the challenges of a changing educational context and are reliable, trustworthy, and ethical. While it would be an advantage to have experience in a similar position, just as important is a genuine love for working with children to support them in their studies.
In addition, you will have:
Strength, patience and enthusiasm in working with Primary-aged students and the ability to work independently and follow the directions of the classroom teacher.
An understanding of the social and emotional supports necessary for supporting students in their studies.
A willingness to support the overall goals of the educational team and work cohesively to supportstudents.
Well-developed communication skills, to work smoothly with students and theirteachers.
