This is a full-time, ongoing position based at our campus.
Main Responsibilities:
* Monitor security systems and respond to alerts in real time.
* Assist in incident response processes, including analysis, containment, remediation, and continuous improvement.
* Support vulnerability assessments, recommend mitigation strategies, and implement solutions.
* Operate and maintain IT security controls, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency.
* Investigate and report on suspected policy breaches, providing actionable recommendations.
* Contribute to the development of incident response processes, standard operating procedures, and other key documents.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and external partners, fostering a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, along with foundational cyber security certifications or equivalent.
* Demonstrated skills with relevant tools, technologies, and cyber security standards.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
* A collaborative approach and commitment to staying up to date with the latest cyber security developments.
