About the Role
As the Configuration Management Officer for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), is responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of Project Configuration Management (CM) activities in accordance with the CM Plan. The Configuration Officer will assist the Configuration Manager/Lead with the conduct of project activities to meet both project and Austal CM goals. Effective CM activity on this Project will support customer acceptance of each vessel and enable successful handover to sustainment activities.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the coordination & delivery of the project CM activities.
* Assist in the completion and close out of CM activities in accordance with the plans and schedules.
* Ensure the correct capture of configuration information/changes within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool.
* Assist in the coordination & conduct of Configuration Audit and reporting activities.
* Regularly report CM status accounting.
* Assist in the coordination, maintenance and assessment of CM impacts for the project Engineering Change process.
* Adhere to and maintain processes required to ensure outputs are delivered consistently.
* Contribute to the continual improvement of established processes.
* Facilitate teamwork between internal and external parties.
* Integration of disciplines across Project activities (eg CM to Design, Design to Production, etc).
Qualifications
* Certificate IV or higher level in technical discipline. A maritime degree or trade qualification would be considered highly desirable.
