TMF Australia is seeking an exceptional Business Development Director to lead commercial growth across Victoria. This is a high‐impact, client‐facing role for a natural relationship‐builder and strategic hunter — someone who loves opening new doors, shaping opportunities, and partnering with senior leaders across corporate Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own and execute TMF's commercial strategy for Victoria, building and converting a senior‐level pipeline across ASX‐listed, private, and multinational clients.
* Develop and grow trusted relationships with Australian‐headquartered and ASX‐listed organisations, identifying AU outbound opportunities across global markets.
* Engage deeply with priority industries including Renewable Energy, Data Centres, Retail & FMCG, Life Sciences, Technology, and Financial Services.
* Build and nurture a strong network of intermediaries (Accounting & Tax advisors, mid‐tier consulting firms, law firms, and technology partners) to increase referral‐led growth.
* Lead the full business development lifecycle: market mapping, prospecting, qualification, solution shaping, pitching, and closing multi‐service opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal experts across Accounting & Tax (A&T), Governance, Entity Management, and Human Resources (HR) to design integrated solutions that meet client needs.
* Represent TMF at industry forums, networking events, and executive roundtables as a senior ambassador for the business.
* Use market data, competitive insights, and sector intelligence to shape TMF's national and APAC commercial priorities.
About you:
* A proven hunter with a strong track record of originating and closing complex B2B deals, ideally in professional services, consulting, corporate services, governance, or Accounting & Tax (A&T).
* A strong Melbourne network across corporate, legal, advisory, investment, or high‐growth industry sectors.
* Experience engaging senior decision makers including CFOs, General Counsels, Company Secretaries, and Board‐level stakeholders.
* Ability to confidently navigate complex, multi‐stakeholder environments and craft compelling, multi‐service outsourcing solutions.
* Experience working with or selling into priority industries such as Renewable Energy, Data Centres, Retail & FMCG, Life Sciences, Technology, or Financial Services is highly regarded.
* Strong communicator with excellent presentation, negotiation, and storytelling capability.
* Self‐driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of commercial outcomes within a collaborative team environment.
