The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Supply Chain Systems and Tools Lead to drive the systems and tools strategy across BDA Supply Chain Management capability, linking into Boeing Enterprise initiatives. The role requires a campion of change and curiosity to explore the art of what is possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- Execution of a strategic systems and tools roadmap for supply chain incorporating future needs and opportunities.
- Lead in the implementation of the roadmap providing stakeholder engagement and project management.
- Development and implementation of Supplier Data architecture.
- Act as the SCM focal for all System and Tools related requests.
- Liaise with IT&DA to implement System and Tool initiatives and attend/Lead Steering Committees.
- Develop, evaluate and implement system and tool continuous improvement
- Communicates strategic initiatives, projects or procurement activities.
- Leads cross-functional process management activities.
- Leads self-assessment and audit teams to identify and implement corrective action.
- Lead efforts to mitigate risk and resolve issues to high risk programs.
- Interact with and provide support to supplier management and procurement personnel and functional organisations to communicate specific initiatives, projects or procurement activities
- Develop and report process compliance information.
- Participate in non-compliance root cause analysis and corrective action recommendation.
- Develop and deploy organisation process management plans and schedules.
- Maintain organisation command media. Review and aggregate command media revision requests for further action
Experience/Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to collect, organise, synthesize and analyse data, summarise findings and develop conclusions and recommendations.
- Demonstrated understanding of procurement systems and processes. Experience or knowledge of MRP system and processes highly advantageous.
- Tertiary Education in IT, Business, Engineering or relevant experience.
- High level competency in written and oral communication and standard business tools and systems.
- The ability to work with cross functional teams.
- The ability to work autonomously to see projects and opportunities through to completion.
Technical Competencies
- Develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the department level.
- Contract Structure and Terms - Complete knowledge of contract structure and terminology related to specified work
- Process Management Skills - Complete ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes.
- Procurement Processes - Complete knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed by various procurement departments/disciplines. Complete knowledge of the interactions between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-Procurement processes (e.g., Engineering, Business, Operations, Logistics).
- Supplier Management - Overall knowledge of supplier assessment processes including Preferred Supplier Certification. Basic knowledge of elements of the assessment to include supplier's past performance, business processes, capacity plan, statement of work evaluation, risk mitigation plan, capabilities and lean practices in order to rate supplier viability to support the Boeing companies goals and objectives.
