Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in cloud solutions. As a key member of our Cloud Solutions team, you will play a vital role in building robust systems that empower customers to confidently navigate their cloud journey.
Your mission will be to deliver exceptional cloud solutions by seamlessly integrating strategy, execution, and deep cross-functional expertise. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and implement the right technologies to achieve sustainable, real-world outcomes.
Our team focuses on partnership and customer satisfaction, enabling businesses across ANZ to unlock the full potential of the cloud and deliver measurable impact through tailored, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Advocate for DevOps culture, tooling, delivery methods, and cultural practices within our organisation and with clients.
* Assist with estimating work efforts and story pointing required for each phase of an agile project.
* Provide technical guidance and mentoring to peers, less experienced engineers, and client personnel.
* Identify, qualify, and raise technical risks and issues.
* Help grow our culture of learning by taking part in and coordinating opportunities such as presenting at technical conferences, community groups, writing blog articles, and contributing to partner-coordinated workshops
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bring strong experience in software engineering and DevOps, particularly in production environments using AWS.
* Design and implement end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
* Apply expertise in configuration management and infrastructure as code, using tools such as:
* Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
* Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM.
* Contribute to security-focused engineering practices, including:
* Identity and access management.
* Firewall configuration.
* Fundamental cloud security principles.
* Collaborate across cross-functional and technical teams to deliver Agile-based projects.
* Demonstrate a growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies quickly.
* Use acquired knowledge to solve practical business problems for customers.
* Communicate effectively with clients at a business level.
* Translate customer needs into technical solutions to help maximise team velocity.
