The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Linesman to join our Essential Services Department. Working on a 15/13 FIFO roster, you'll travel across our 11 communities, ensuring safe and reliable power distribution that keeps life running in the desert. You'll work closely with Horizon Power and Western Power infrastructure to maintain, repair, and improve essential electrical networks.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground powerlines
* Switching operations and network fault response
* Operation of Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) and associated equipment
* Travel across communities to carry out planned and responsive works
Essential
* Certificate III in ESI (Distribution)
* Current authorisation for switching
* EWP licence
* Valid Manual Driver's Licence
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing)
* National Police Clearance
* Willingness to work in a dry community (no alcohol permitted while on lands)
Desirable:
* Cable jointing experience
* Crane borer operation skills
