About the role
We are seeking an experienced Hotel/Motel Manager to join our team at the Grand Hotel in Wellington, NSW. This is a contract role, providing the opportunity to lead and manage all operations of our hotel/motel. As Hotel/Motel Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the hotel/motel, while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
What you'll be doing
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth and profitability
- Manage and lead a team of hotel staff, providing coaching, training and performance management
- Monitor and analyse hotel/motel performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and brand standards
- Foster a positive and customer-focused hotel/motel culture
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to optimise hotel/motel operations
What we're looking for
- Proven track record as a Hotel/Motel Manager or General Manager in the hospitality industry
- Solid leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests, staff and stakeholders
- Financial management expertise, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control
- In-depth knowledge of hotel/motel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, F&B; and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hotel/motel management software and data analysis tools
- A customer-centric mindset and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
