**Job Title:** Rollingstock Maintainer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rollingstock Maintainer to join our team at the Avon depot. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in the rail industry with on-the-job training and strong pathways for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect, repair, and maintain rail wagons, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
* Perform scheduled servicing, component replacement, and modifications as required.
* Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting on wagon components, including brakes, couplings, suspension, and pneumatic systems.
* Shunting of rollingstock and operating shunt units.
* Safe operation of mobile plant and equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
* Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A strong commitment to safety.
* A current unrestricted WA driver's license.
* A high level of knowledge of functions, defects, and fault findings with equipment.
* Cert III in Engineering or equivalent would be highly regarded, however, is not essential.
* Substantial level of skills in repair, maintenance, and overhaul of machinery although not essential, would be highly regarded.
