EHS Specialist Overview
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to safeguard people, property, and the environment by ensuring adherence to highest safety standards.
* Manage environmental programs for compliance, pollution prevention, and/or natural resource protection programs.
* Prepare and oversee Statements of Work (SOWs) and cost estimates for environmental studies, designs, and projects.
* Continuously ensure and monitor compliance and investigations of non-compliant issues.
* Establish and manage hazardous waste storage and disposal policies and practices.
* Oversee identification and validation of potential contaminated sites and development/implementation of remedial action plans.
* Manage staff and policies affecting specific programs.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
* Be a US or Australian citizen.
* Have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/Poly, or an Australian PV clearance.
* Hold a minimum of a BA/BS from an accredited institution, preferably in environmental science or EH&S related field.
* Have a minimum of five years of EHS experience managing projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
* Possess a ASP, CSP, CIH, CEP (Preferred), or Australian equivalent (note: a CSP or CIH are preferred); An EH&S related Master's Degree may suffice for Certification requirement.
* Be knowledgeable of process improvement models.
* Have an understanding of the US and Australian bilateral agreements governing EHS.
