An exciting opportunity exists for a focussed and dynamic leader to join Cranbrook State School's (Level 6) leadership team as an Acting Principal, from 6 April 2026 to 12 July 2026.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About The School

Cranbrook State School was established in 1981 and has a very proud history of successes ranging across many areas of school life.

The school motto "Honest Endeavour" has certainly been demonstrated by many students who have passed through the school. Cranbrook State School is a wonderful, caring place to be and to learn.

Cranbrook State School is a medium sized unzoned school with first rate facilities and programs. The school also maintains excellent relationships with its community.

About The Role

As the Principal you will have responsibility for the following:

Leading the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Upholding the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
