Major Tech is a South African company that has 30 years' experience in the markets of Electrical Test & Measuring Instruments and Handheld Tools. Following 30 years of success within the South African market, we have recently opened an office in Brisbane where our full product range is stocked. Our professional product range offers a wide variety of test and measuring instruments to meet all electrical, electronic and specialist requirements. We have spent many years developing test meters to be functional and yet offer the best features at a reasonable price.
Since opening our offices in Brendale QLD, Major Tech has experienced exceptional growth within the industry over the past few months and to meet our expanding business needs Major Tech is excited to be adding to our team.
We are now looking for qualified and experienced Electricians that are passionate about and enjoys working in the electrical industry and that are interested in a career in sales as a Technical Business Development Manager (also referred to as: sales representative).
The ideal candidate must have exceptional communication skills, be good at building relationships & prioritising tasks, be self-motivated, and enjoy working with customers/ clients and members of the general public.

Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Communicate and coordinate with customers in person, by phone and by email to understand their needs.
- All information and proposals sent to clients are prepared and communicated with a high level of professionalism.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the company's various products and services.
- Prepare quotes, respond to new leads, and customer enquiries within agreed timeframes.
- Maintain consistent follow up to convert them into appointments.
- Establish and nurture relationships with former clients and potential clients to facilitate sales.
- Find potential customers through networking, cold calling and industry research to increase sales.
- Use data to help clients understand how products can help them achieve their goals.
- Develop plans with management to expand existing market segments.
- Track progress of leads and maintain weekly sales planning reports.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and KPIs.
- Attend regional and interstate trips when required.
- Complete other sales-related tasks.
- Promote Sales among existing customers & expand the customer base
- Generate sales through product presentations and demonstrations.
- Ensure that Major Tech is the preferred product for Electrical Contractors, Mines and Utility companies.
- Initiate and maintain contact with customers.
- Use CRM to record sales and marketing activity.
- Learn & Maintain Industry, Market and Product Knowledge
Skills and Experience:
- Electrical trade background and/or qualification - Advantageous
- Minimum of two (2) years working sales experience within the electrical wholesale industry.
- Aptitude to learn and understand our product range.
- Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
- Enterprising individual who is self-motivated with a flair for sales.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid and current driver's license.
- Ability to work autonomously with good time management & organizational skills.
- Has a strong capability in communication (verbal and written skills, including the ability to make presentations).
- Mature, smart in appearance with great Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people on a daily basis
- Has a positive attitude and impeccable attention to detail.
- Familiarity with relevant software, including Microsoft office 365 (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook), Google Drive and etc
