The Role
As a Civil Engineer, you will manage and deliver civil engineering packages across the civil mining sector — balancing technical excellence with practical outcomes, direct client relationships, and commercial delivery. This is a role for someone who wants more than production — someone ready to lead.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead civil projects from concept through to construction
* Manage delivery, resourcing, and internal co-ordination
* Develop earthworks, drainage and road designs
* Produce high-quality civil mark-ups and design documentation
* Deliver practical, compliant, cost-effective civil solutions
* Apply strong engineering judgement beyond software outputs
* Participate in design reviews and QA processes
* Prepare reports, technical documentation, and client deliverables
* Support fee proposals alongside Directors and Leads
* Mentor Civil and Graduate Engineers
* Build trusted relationships with Clients and Stakeholders
* Contribute to team growth and ongoing capability building
About You
You're technically strong, commercially aware, and ready to influence outcomes, with experience working at an Engineering Consultancy in Australia.
You'll bring
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
* RPEQ preferred or in the process of obtaining
* Typically 3-8 years postgraduate in consulting engineering experience in Australia
* Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects across scope, time and budget, preferrable within the mining sector
* Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage and civil infrastructure design
* Confident design judgement and problem-solving ability
* Experience working across project delivery stages
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, teams, and leadership
* Commitment to ongoing development and chartership
* Proficient in the use of software packages such as AutoCAD and/or QGIS.
* Strong team player and willing to contribute to a strong team dynamic
