Job Description
The Vocational Placement Coordinator will coordinate vocational placement and work experience programs for students enrolled in eligible qualifications within the Industry Trade Skills & Business, Education, Hospitality & Languages faculties.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in contributing to the objectives of a vocational placement program.
They will supervise and support an administration team by providing relevant training, support and effective task and workload distribution to deliver exceptional administrative outcomes.
The coordinator will also network and foster positive working relationships with industry and state and local services to procure, formalise and maintain partnerships that ensure long term vocational placement opportunities.
They will provide advice and guidance on the vocational placement program to all stakeholders, including students, employers and community services.
The coordinator will be responsible for coordinating student vocational placements in accordance with TAFE Queensland's policies and procedures and relevant legislative requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Knowledge and experience in contributing to the objectives of a vocational placement program.
* Proven track record and success in undertaking administrative tasks demonstrated through efficient and effective delivery of administrative outcomes, with a proven commitment to providing outstanding client service.
* Well-developed interpersonal, listening and communication skills, including written communication, the ability to consult with a range of stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve team and organisational goals.
* Proven experience in building and sustaining productive internal and external stakeholder relationships and working collaboratively to foster a positive and cohesive work environment.

This is a Temporary, Full-Time opportunity with a fixed term until 31 January 2026 unless otherwise determined.
The position will be based primarily at Ashmore however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
