This exclusively digital news room is powered by a team of more than 60 dedicated journalists reporting the news across multiple platforms including desktop, mobile, social, podcasts and our app.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, write, and produce compelling journalism that will be read by millions of AustraliansWork with a news director, news editors and team of reportersCover national and global breaking news, from on the scene and in the officeFocus on high quality original content, and using video to find new ways to tell stories visuallyUse analytics to inform story choicesPitch and deliver unique content that will drive conversation, engagement and click-throughs across multiple platformsSome weekend shifts and work outside of usual hoursWho are you?
Successful news reporter with at least three years experience in a busy digital newsroomPassionate about breaking stories and finding exclusive angles on the topics dominating the national agendaHighly motivated and full of ideas, with strong contacts that help you break yarnsStrong writing skills and an understanding of how to use headlines and pictures to hook readers.
