This term-time contract positions 15 hours per week (5-day fortnight, Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesday).
Commencing 27 January **** (or as negotiated) until 4 December ****.
The role reports directly to the Kindergarten Director or appointed responsible person and works closely with children, families, and the Early Learning & Care Manager.ResponsibilitiesAssist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation and resource organisation.Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students, including those with additional needs.Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers.Assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and organising educational materials.About youWe seek dedicated, compassionate individuals who are passionate about education and working with students.
We value continuous growth and a willingness to learn.Qualifications and ExperienceCurrent valid Blue Card under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act **** and a valid Suitability Notice.Minimum Cert III in Children's Services (or working towards) or equivalent.
A Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent (ACECQA-approved qualifications) is preferred.Hold one of the following Child Protection competencies or willing to obtain:CHCPRT025 – Identify and report children and young people at risk.CHCPRT001 – Identify and respond to children and young people at risk.CHCPRT026 – Support the rights and safety of children and young people.CHCPRT002 – Support the rights and safety of children and young people.CHCECE057 – Use collaborative practices to uphold child protection principles.First Aid Certificate, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Training (ACECQA-approved).
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner.Understanding of and a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school.A genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of students.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality in dealing with young people and their needs.Ability to work well individually or collaboratively in a team, accepting direction and support.Genuine care for the wellbeing of students.Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic educational setting.What we offerCompetitive salary range of $***** – $***** per hour (salary based on qualifications; age-based rates apply if under 21).
