We're seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Ecologist to join our dynamic team and play a key role in planning, assessing, and delivering major public and private development programs throughout Northern NSW. This position can be based in either our
Kingscliff
or
Lennox Head
office—both offering a coastal lifestyle and vibrant community.
What you'll bring
* Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Zoology, Botany, or equivalent
* 5+ years' experience in senior ecological and environmental assessment
* Strong knowledge of NSW environmental legislation
* High-level botanical and fauna identification skills, especially in Northern NSW
* Proficiency with GIS technology and field equipment
* Ability to lead surveys, complete impact assessments, and prepare management plans in line with NSW and Commonwealth legislation
* Excellent report writing and communication skills
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently
* Current Australian work rights and driver's licence
* NSW BAM accreditation (or willingness to obtain) is highly regarded
