The Role
We are seeking an emerging HR professional to join a small, busy HR team in a 6 month contract.
Based in Canberra, this role offers up to three days per week and will support day-to-day HR operations, including inbox management, recruitment administration, payroll checks and reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build hands-on generalist HR experience.
Key Duties
* Managing HR inboxes, including general and recruitment enquiries
* Responding to employee and candidate enquiries
* Liaising with shared services providers and maintaining positive working relationships
* Completing fortnightly payroll run checks
* Maintaining HR registers and spreadsheets (e.g. conflicts of interest, probation tracking)
* Assisting with WHS administration and incident management processes
* Producing reports from a range of HR systems
* Providing administrative support across recruitment activities
Skills and Experience
* Emerging experience in HR, people operations or administration
* Exposure to generalist HR tasks or a strong interest in building a career in HR
* Studying towards or recently completed HR qualifications desirable but not essential
* Strong attention to detail and administrative capability
* Confidence working across multiple systems and spreadsheets
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
