Australian School of Entrepreneurship
This is a Receptionist and Community Support Officer (Brisbane) role with Australian School of Entrepreneurship based in Brisbane, QLD, AU.
Role Seniority
Graduate, junior, mid level.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
* Processing EOIs and turning interested people into enrolled, excited participants
* Coordinating workshops, masterclasses and networking events: promoting them, filling the rooms, setting everything up, ensuring they run smoothly and exceed expectations each time. Events are held throughout the year to upskill the community and include fun activities such as the End of Financial Year Boat Party.
* Being the first face people see when they walk into our Launchpads: greeting everyone with genuine warmth and making an incredible first impression.
* Calling every new participant on their start day to welcome them and make them feel supported.
* Keeping coach calendars fully booked by filling gaps with business plans, health checks and overdue mentoring sessions.
* Managing our online community of small business owners: posting engaging content at least twice a week, responding to every post within 24 hours, fostering connection when participants are not physically with us.
* Gathering success stories and sharing wins: taking photos at events, writing case studies, celebrating achievements publicly and making people proud of what they're accomplishing.
* Monitoring the inbox and handling calls, voicemails, leads and general enquiries.
* Sending monthly motivation emails to all active participants with event invitations and booking reminders.
You'll Do Well in This Role If You
* Bring genuine positive energy, not in a fake corporate way, but because you actually get excited about helping people chase their business dreams.
* Love building relationships: you remember names, ask follow‐up questions and make everyone feel like they matter; building rapport with anyone comes naturally to you both over the phone and in person.
* Can juggle multiple things: event planning, inbox management, EOI calls, welcoming new participants. You thrive on variety.
* Take initiative and make things happen: you don't wait to be told what to do. If event numbers look low, you already look for solutions.
* Are naturally organised: you keep track of everything and complete your daily checklist, letting nothing slip through the cracks.
* Communicate really well: you adapt your style to different people and situations, whether on the phone or in written communications.
* Love being part of a team: you enjoy collaboration, banter and get on your sleeves to get things done with others.
What Makes This Different
You help people transition into business ownership. You watch someone go from "I have an idea" to launching a viable business and you play a part in making them feel supported and excited throughout that journey. Every day is different: admin, event coordination, relationship building, problem‐solving and community engagement. No monotonous desk work.
What We Offer
* Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 (negotiable based on experience).
* Location: Brisbane City Campus and Moreton Bay Micro-Campus with some WFH flexibility.
* Purpose: Work that genuinely changes lives.
* Team: Small, supportive crew who value your unique strengths.
