What You'll Be Doing
The Dental Assistant assists dental officers and oral health therapists to deliver safe and effective oral health services by providing clinical and administrative support.
Selection Criteria
* Experience in dental assisting and qualification in a field recognised by the Dental Assistant Education Council of Australia or equivalent, OR experience and preparedness to undertake Certificate III in Dental Assisting.
* Demonstrated high level of competency in assisting with all oral health care procedures.
* Demonstrated understanding of current infection control principles and procedures.
* Ability to use computer software and electronic systems to complete work tasks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability and willingness to travel for work, including driving long distances and overnight stays at health service expense. Evidence of a current Class C driver's licence.
