About the role
We are seeking a Accounts Clerk / Accountants who is a team player and will be with a can-do attitude and an effective communicator to join our team. Reporting to the Practice Manager in the firm, and working closely with our Company Accountant, you will be responsible for accounts procedures.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assist with monthly financial reporting, data entry and reconciliations produce official
letters and reports with clear concise and professionally presented.
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions (accounts payable and
receivable) are recorded with periodic reconciliation and settlement
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices
- Prepare, process, maintain and record financial information, Invoices, accounts payable,
accounts receivable for reporting purpose
- Assisting in preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance
documents to draft stage
- Prepare and reconcile profit and loss, balance sheet and other financial reports including
preparation and posting of any necessary adjusting journals
- Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, credit
card statements.
- Implementation and administering accounting information systems in accounting
software MYOB.
- Prepare and review weekly payrolls, employee benefits, leave provisions accurately and
on a timely basis including tax allocation for PAYG.
- Reporting and calculations of BAS/PAYG
About the applicant
- Bachelor's degree in business/accounting from recognised University.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and abilities.
- At least one year of experience in the accounting/bookkeeping field.
- Sound knowledge of business and financial principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to details and high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and work effectively within a team as well as individual
