The Pastry Lab is an extremely busy, much-loved Sunshine Coast institution, known for our pastries, bread and cakes (and for the lines out the door most mornings). We're looking for a reliable and capable Pastry Chef to join our production team and help keep up with demand.
You'll be working closely with our owner and Head Pastry Chef Chris, along with another pastry chef and in a small, hardworking team that takes a lot of pride in what we do.
The Role
This is a hands-on production role covering pastry, bread and cakes, with a strong focus on consistency, quality and efficiency in a high-volume kitchen.
Our menu, recipes and systems are well established, allowing the team to work smoothly in a fast-paced environment. This role suits someone who enjoys structure, routine, and being part of a business that customers genuinely love and support.
While this isn't a creative development role, it offers stability, clear expectations, and the satisfaction of producing beautiful products.
What You'll Be Doing
* Producing pastries, bread and cakes to set recipes and standards
* Working efficiently during early-morning production

About You
* Qualified pastry chef or strong hands-on experience
* Comfortable with early starts and a busy pace
* Reliable, organised and detail-focused
