Emergency Management Position in Rural Area
The role is based at the Southwest Regional Office in Bunbury, reporting to the District Officer (Rural) Wellington as part of rural operations portfolio.
* This position manages resources for prevention, preparedness, response and recovery outcomes in WA communities.
The manager also works with volunteers and Local Government on policy matters, providing training and assessment services for emergency service units across the region.
* Maintaining regional fire mitigation plans by facilitating activities like prescribed burn operations.
Requirements
* A Western Australian Medium Rigid Driver's License is required.
* An accredited Level 1 Incident Controller or endorsed DFES Level 1 Incident Controller qualification relevant to hazards such as fire must be held.
