About the Role
The Op Shop Store Manager is responsible for leading a team of volunteers and overseeing the daily operation of the store to ensure its profitability, sustainability and positive presence within the local community.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage, lead and develop a team of volunteers to the highest levels of performance and engagement.
- Provide leadership and support in the management of the Op Shop's operations, including overseeing pricing, maximising profitability and achieving sales targets.
- Provide a high level of service to customers to resolve queries and complaints.
- Positively represent RSPCA Victoria in the local community.
- Lead effective and efficient stock management, visual merchandising and retail operations.
- Provide support to the Op Shop Network Coordinator in improving internal processes and procedures.
- Manage the recruitment and induction of volunteers to ensure the store has the appropriate resources to achieve its goals.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Assist with ensuring a safe working environment where volunteers perform duties safely and adhere to all WH&S policies and procedures.
What we are looking for from you
- Previous experience in retail management and leadership, ideally within an op‐shop environment.
- Ability to work some weekends.
- Previous experience working with and managing volunteers.
- Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong administration, customer service and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a rapid‐paced and challenging environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team‐oriented team.
- High level literacy, numeracy and problem‐solving skills.

Recruitment Requirements
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
- Valid driver's licence.
