Job Description
Truck Driver – Ravenshoe QLD Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, working to assist our client who runs a growing transportation and logistics company based in Ravenshoe QLD to help recruit a qualified and experienced Truck Driver. Our client operates a reliable and compliant fleet, specialising in the safe and timely transport of fresh produce from local farmers to supermarkets across both local and interstate routes. As they continue to expand their fleet of trucks, they are seeking a professional and experienced truck driver who can deliver outstanding and reliable service to their customers.
Tenure: Fulltime and ongoing Salary: Negotiable in the range of $80k to $100k plus superannuation per annum. Responsibilities include:
* Loading, unloading, and securing loads to prevent damage or spoilage, adhering to safety and hygiene regulations.
* Regularly inspecting the vehicle to ensure it's in good working condition.
This includes checking tires, brakes, lights, and other critical parts.
* Planning and following the most efficient routes to save time and fuel.
* Keeping accurate records of deliveries, maintenance checks, and any incidents.
* Coordinating with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
* Quickly and effectively addressing any issues that arise during operations.
To be successfully considered for this role, you must have:
* Certificate III (or agreed substitute) in a relevant field.
* Current HC and MC license.
* At least 1 year (preferably more) relevant experience in this field
* Working knowledge of relevant guidelines and regulations.
* Great customer service skills.
* Strong written documentation skills.
* Great accuracy in your record keeping.
* Proven reliability, adherence to schedules and solid work ethic.
* Willingness to share your driving record and your work history with us.
* Be willing to undertake health and drug screening.
