We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Advisor - Design & Drafting to join a high performing asset delivery environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical setting, enjoys complex design challenges, and can quickly step into a busy project pipeline.
About the Role
In this contractor position, you will provide advanced design and drafting support across a diverse portfolio of water-related infrastructure projects. Working alongside engineers and project teams, you will deliver high-quality drawings, technical outputs, and design advice to support critical capital works programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce complex design drawings, calculations, and documentation
* Develop 3D concept designs and engineering models
* Maintain project schedules, estimates, and progress updates
* Review drawings to ensure adherence to drafting and engineering standards
* Provide technical input across multidisciplinary project teams
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather and interpret design requirements
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, drafting or similar
* Strong background in water infrastructure design and drafting
* Advanced skills in AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Navisworks
* Proven capability in estimating time and cost for complex drafting tasks
* Experience across civil, mechanical, electrical, or process related drafting
* Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
Desirable
* Understanding of environmental and social considerations in water/wastewater design
* Additional multidisciplinary drafting experience
Contract Details
* Start: Ideally 2 March 2026 (or ASAP)
* Duration: 12 months
* Hours: 38 per week
* Location: Leederville
