Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Modbury Hospital – Modbury Salary : $112,163 - $121,246 p.a. (pro rata) plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits – ASO7 Temporary Part-Time – working 30 hours per week, up to 30 October 2026 About the Role: Are you a strategic communications professional ready to shape how we connect with our community? The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a Principal Communications Advisor to join our Communication and Engagement team. This senior role offers an opportunity to lead strategic communications that support organisational priorities, strengthen public trust and enhance engagement with our community and stakeholders. As the Principal Communications Advisor, you will play a critical role in planning, delivering and evaluating high‑level communication initiatives. You will provide expert advice, oversee complex communication activities and ensure messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with NALHN’s strategic objectives. This position requires a balance of strategic oversight and practical delivery in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. In this role you will: lead high-level communication planning and stakeholder engagement activities develop. implement and oversee communication strategies and content across a range of channels and platforms manage crisis communications and media relations collaborate with executive teams and clinical leaders drive community health awareness campaigns To be eligible for this position, you must hold tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or relevant field. About You: To be successful in this role you will be a highly experienced communications professional with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to operate with confidence at a senior level. You bring well‑developed judgement, credibility and influence, enabling you to support organisational leaders through complex and sensitive communication challenges. You will demonstrate: proven high-level strategic communication planning skills proven ability to manage and support communication needs including reviewing and modifying plans and adjusting resources to support changing priorities and business needs strong analytical skills, including the ability to evaluate data and information quickly, critically and accurately, assessing complex or ambiguous issues and summarise key messages clearly and accurately exceptional written and verbal communication skills, producing influential and accessible materials that are clear and accurate ability to manage competing priorities, high volumes of work and meet tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment strong negotiation and influencing skills proven leadership capability to guide, support and develop a high-performing team This is an opportunity to contribute at a strategic level within a committed, progressive and high‑performing team.
